How to dispose of plastic bags, film and wrappers in Birmingham
Not accepted in household recycling
Carrier bags, black sacks, plastic film, and wrappers are not accepted in Birmingham’s household recycling bins. The grey bin is for non-recyclable household rubbish, subject to the council’s exclusions.
What to do
- Do not put these in the recycling bin.
- Check exclusions for any item that is electrical, hazardous, or unusually large.
