How to dispose of paint, oils and hazardous materials in Birmingham
Special handling — check first
Hazardous waste needs a specific route. Birmingham’s mobile household waste centres exclude paint, engine or cooking oil, gas cylinders, and asbestos. The council says small amounts of some hazardous household waste can be taken to an HRC; read its full instructions before carrying anything.
